You’ll have plenty of choices as well. When on Amarr’s website, if you choose steel garage doors, there are more than 800 selections to choose from. And that doesn’t count adding in things like insulation for added energy efficiency.

As a bonus, nearly all of Amarr’s steel garage doors come with the Safe Guard safety system to keep your mind at ease. Safe Guard offers pinch protection sections along with components resistant to tampering. 

Not much beats a classic wood door. They have the most natural energy efficiency of any material, although they can be prone to warping and are less resistant to wet climates than other materials.

Amarr’s website gives you 40 options for wood garage doors, including faux wood options that may be a better option for wet climates. They easily customizable with added insulation, windows and decorative hardware.

Aluminum and glass garage doors are made with steel frames for structural integrity. They are lightweight and rust-resistant, which is nice in climates that get their fair share of rain. They can also be customized to look like wood or painted a number of ways.

It has panels on each of the sections of the garage door – either long or short, and sometimes recessed – and one of the sections might have window inserts. You can play with the color and panel selection based on the aesthetics of your home, and if you feel up to it, add some decorative hardware for extra pizzazz.

This is another area where Amarr shines for selection. With more than 700 carriage house options, you can find a throwback style that adds a lot of curb appeal to your home with a vintage look. 

Spice things up by deciding between a swing-out (opens outward from the outer edge of your garage opening) or overhead (swings out from the top of the garage opening). Then throw in some decorative hardware to give that barn-house feel a jolt of modernity.

You want true style? You want sleekness? A modern garage door might be for you with clean lines and typically with a window design that will make people look twice when they drive by. With nearly 200 style options, Amarr can customize the color and the finish to look like wood or keep it plain with black or white that just stands out despite its simplicity.

Amarr Garage Door Pricing and Value

Amarr garage doors can be pricey, depending on how much customization you add to them. The initial material plays a role in the cost, as natural wood tends to cost more than steel, for example. The costs of a new door can add up as you choose how you want the door to be painted, if you want to add windows (and how many) as well as insulation for increased energy efficiency or decorative hardware.

While garage doors can jump from hundreds of dollars for the most basic to thousands of dollars, they tend to be a good investment for homeowners and bring added value to your home’s curb appeal. If you add insulation, the energy efficiency of the garage door will also help your power bill over time as well.

Amarr Warranty and Service Support

As with many companies in the industry, there is a limited warranty for each model of garage door manufactured. As the manufacturer and not the installer, the products’ warranty is limited in scope to specific terms. Your installer might also have a warranty on their work, and it’s best to inquire about both before you have the door installed.

If an issue arises, the best way to approach the process is to document – but do not attempt to fix – the issue, mainly with photographs. Then contact your installer and check your paperwork to determine if the warranty is enforceable.

Amarr garage doors are known for their quality and durability. How long a door lasts is also contingent on how well it is maintained, the climate you live in and the material used to manufacture the door. Typically, most garage doors can last anywhere from 12 to 30 years.

Amarr doors have a strong reputation when it comes to insulation and energy efficiency. Most doors come with some level of natural insulation, with wood being the best in that respect, but added layers of insulation can be added to any material.

Replacement parts for older doors are available, but that also comes at a cost. Amarr advises that if a garage door is more than 15 years old, it might be best to replace it instead. Also, a newer door will be more efficient.
